 Gemstone Beads - Jade Named after the exotic Northeastern province of China in which it is found, Ching Hai "jade," is a translucent to opaque mottled green and white rock consisting of dolomite, fuchsite and additional minerals. The soft nature of the stone makes it a good choice to use in short necklace and earring designs that are protected from heavy abuse. Peace "jade" comes from China and is a combination of pale green serpentine, pink/lavender stichtite and white quartz. The beautiful mix of coloured stones blend unique pattern on each bead and pair well with other jade and agate beads as well as Amethyst. Warm, autumn colours in naturally occurring Golden "jade". Colours in this "jade," which is actually jasper, range from gold to burnt umber. Good variety of semi-transparent stones per strand. New "jade" is a type of serpentine and has a variety of green colour tones. Naturally luminescent, the stone appears to glow from within. From Western China. Named for its darker colour and vintage look, Antiqued New "jade" is a form of serpentine. Breathtaking colour combinations in every strand, each bead is a natural work of art. All strands blend well together. Soft stone best used for necklace and earring designs, takes a moderate polish. Olive "jade" is a serpentine with colours that vary from a soft light avocado colour to an olive green. Use this gemstone with pearls, sterling silver or gold beads. All of these beads are handcrafted. May include occasional cream to black inclusions.
